For a fun, fruit-filled weekend, head on over to Monticello this Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, for their 69th Annual Watermelon Festival. Kicking off on June 1 with events like several rodeos, a pageant, fashion show, and a barbecue dinner occurring over the last 2 weeks, this festival concludes this Saturday.
The 2-week long festival, hosted by the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, “has something for everyone.” From an antique car show hosted by the Tallahassee Region Antique Auto Club of America, to the 40th Annual Kiwanis 5K Run, this watermelon festival is the perfect weekend activity for kids and families.
