Alfred B. Maclay Gardens will be celebrating the 31st anniversary of their annual Christmas event, Camellia Christmas, on December 6, 2019. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., and concluding at 8:00 p.m., admission fees to this state park are waived for this special event.
In Tallahassee, camellia flowers bloom in December, and this event celebrates this by offering candle-lit strolls through The Gardens, Christmas carols, hot cider, and musical entertainment throughout the night. The Maclay House Museum will be lit up for the Christmas season, featuring fresh greenery decorations, and delicious cookies will be offered.
A silent auction for handmade Christmas wreaths will be held on site, and attendees can enjoy performances by Friends of the Garden and local bands and musicians. Donations to the park are welcome.
Maclay Gardens is located at 3540 Thomasville Road. You can RSVP to this festive event on Facebook, and share with friends and family on social media, here.
