Goat yoga, which, not surprisingly, involves the practice of yoga in the presence of baby goats, has recently become popular not only around the U.S., but also locally in Tallahassee. If you have been curious about goat yoga and would like to try it out yourself, now is your chance! Milk and Honey Acres Farm, located at 15210 Mahan Drive, offers goat yoga classes throughout the month.

The outdoor classes allow participants to enjoy animal therapy in the “natural, stress-free” environment that is Milk & Honey Acres Farm. Taught by certified instructor Bethany Bennitt, goat yoga includes poses that are suitable for participants of all levels, from beginning to more advanced individuals. During class, goats will be roaming free, “which might include scaling your back, nibbling your shirt, staring at you, or simple goat snuggles.”

Open to most ages, the class promotes a “fun, enjoyable experience” with 30 spots available for each one. Each class costs $20 per person, mats are provided on site, and tickets can be found online. llama yoga is also offered at Milk & Honey Acres Farm. Refreshments such as water and coffee will be available at The Cabin.

Milk & Honey Acres raises dairy goats, llamas, and honey bees, and more, and hosts birthday parties, outdoor events, and crafting classes frequently alongside their goat and llama yoga classes. You can find more information about their local farm by visiting their website here. Find them on Facebook, and keep up-to-date on all their events and classes, here.

  1. Appreciating the persistence you put into your site and in depth information you provide. It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same old rehashed information. Wonderful read! I’ve bookmarked your site and I’m including your RSS feeds to my Google account.
