In-person early voting in Leon County for the 2020 Presidential Preference Primary Election begins this Saturday, March 7, 2020! Early voting is when one casts a ballot prior to Election Day at a local location, as designated by the Supervisor of Elections. Concluding on March 15, 2020, there are 10 convenient locations across Tallahassee, Leon County, and Woodville that you can visit to cast your ballot. Here is what you need to know about this year’s early voting situation.
- You need to have a valid photo ID and a signature identification on hand when you go to early vote on site, per Florida law. Any combination of 2 forms of ID that show both a photo and a signature are valid forms of identification. This might include a Florida Driver’s License (or Florida ID) and a Debit or Credit Card, for instance.
- You must be registered with one of the two Florida major political parties in order to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary Election. For instance, you must be registered as either a republican or democrat if you plan to early vote.
