Social distancing doesn’t mean you have to keep indoors! Amid COVID-19 concerns, you can still participate in outside activities at some of Tallahassee’s local, beautiful parks. Here are 5 of them to consider visiting for a reprieve from indoor activities.
Governor’s Park — Truly a hidden Tallahassee gem, Governor’s Park is a prime spot for walking, kite flying, biking, picnics, and exploring. Railroad tracks border the park, and ponds are abundant throughout. Download a map of this park, here.
Lafayette Heritage Trail Park — Tucked away in a residential neighborhood lies Lafayette Heritage Trail Park, a perfect spot for walking, fishing, trail running, kayaking, mountain biking, and more. A map of this park can be found, here.
Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park — This park features numerous shared-use trails for mountain biking, hiking, walking, and more. An observation tower allows a view of Lake Jackson, and bluebirds and butterflies are abundant. Read more about this park, here.
