Local farm, Jubilee Orchards, located at 12008 Miccosukee Rd, is open for their 2020 U-pick blueberry season! Offering 50 acres of locally and organically-grown blueberries, their U-pick season runs until June 2020. This year, amid COVID-19 concerns, they are also offering pre-picked blueberries for pickup some weeks.
The first week of their U-pick season, which kicked off on April 4, 2020, they offered a one-week special for pre-picked blueberries. Given its popularity and tremendous response, they have extended the special. If you would like fresh blueberries pre-picked for you, you can call them to order by the pound. Each pre-picked pound costs $10.
On April 2, 2020, Jubilee Orchards was deemed an agricultural essential business, and was approved by Leon County to hold their U-pick season. To keep their pickers healthy and safe, they are following strict sanitation and social distancing guidelines. Groups of 5 people or less is requested, and card use in lieu of paper money or checks is encouraged. Farm-goers have the option of bringing their own bag for picking if they would like, and social distancing will be enforced while blueberry picking.
