If you would like to learn how to be a trained storm spotter, this opportunity is for you! This week and next week, the U.S. National Weather Service – Tallahassee will be offering two virtual training sessions to teach participants how to be trained storm spotters for the National Weather Service.
One training course will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m EDT., and one will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. Open to all ages, the course will prepare participants to become a severe weather spotter. Participants will learn about severe weather features, thunderstorm basics, storm structures, severe weather safety, and how and what to report regarding severe weather.
