May 3, 2020 – May 9, 2020 marks National Travel and Tourism Week, and here in Tallahassee, you can take part in it even while social distancing. Here are several ways to do so.
Get takeout from a local restaurant — To kick off your National Travel and Tourism Week activities, consider getting takeout from a locally-owned restaurant. Be sure to give the restaurant(s) reviews online, as well so that others can see it!
Visit a local park — Take a tour of one of the many parks that this city has to offer. Whether you enjoy running, flying kites, fishing, birdwatching, or anything in between, there is a Tallahassee park that is perfect for you. One of these local parks may be for you.
Get groceries from a locally-owned store — Purchase your groceries from a locally-owned store to not only support local businesses, but also promote them to others.
Visit museums (virtually) — Take trips to local museums and see all that they have to offer tourists and Tallahassee residents alike—virtually. Find out which museums are offering virtual tours, here.
Post photos from your activities — If you visited a local park, took a virtual tour of Tallahassee museums, purchased groceries from a locally-owned store, or got takeout from a locally-owned restaurant for National Travel and Tourism Week, post about it on social media.
