Tallahassee’s Island Wing Company, located at 1370 Market St, is hosting their second Movie Night Under the Stars event this week. Last week’s outdoor movie event was so popular that the restaurant decided to host another this coming Saturday, May 16, 2020, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Last week, their first Movie Night Under the Stars featured “The Sandlot,” and this week, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” will be featured.
While the movie begins at 9:00 p.m. and runs until 11:00 p.m., guests with reservations have the option of dining in at 7:30 p.m. before the movie starts. The family-friendly event operates via reserved seating only. “All seating, including lawn chair/blanket areas are by reservation only, must meet our social distancing guidelines, and can only be purchased ahead of time via Eventbrite, and armbands must be worn at all times,” the restaurant said on Facebook.
A portion of their property will also be cleared so that attendees can bring their own chars and blankets to sit on. Additionally, new food-ordering measures have been implemented. “This week we will feature servers for you tables so there is no need to get up and go to the bar to order your food,” they noted.
This event offers the restaurant and the Tallahassee community a chance dine in at a Tallahassee favorite restaurant—safely. “Island Wing Company wants to thank you for your strong support during the Covid-19 crisis and while we are not bringing our normal patio events back just yet, we wanted to give you an opportunity to finally get back out in public events while adhering to social distancing guidelines for your enjoyment and safety. We look forward to a wonderful event under the stars with you back here on The Island.”
