This year’s Infinity Con Tallahassee event will be held virtually this year amid COVID-19 concerns. David Heringer, Owner and Director of Events for Infinity Con, says that their in-person 2-day event has been postponed until 2021, but that this year’s event will still take place via a different medium. At this year’s Infinity Con Tally, while it will look a little different, “you can expect to see panels and events for all ages, interact in real-time chats with speakers and groups, just as you would for the in person Infinity Con, and we will even have vendor and artist booths for you to buy the con goodies you’ve been missing out on as well!”

Infinity Con is a family-friendly convention that revolves around comic books, science fiction, gaming, pop culture, and more. Last year’s convention was the first Infinity Con to take place in Tallahassee, and was a day-long event. This year, at the 2 day-long virtual event, “we will have vendors and artists with virtual booth spaces in the expo area, panels and events on comics, writing, special fx, costuming, entertainment from Noise Complaint cosplay Tap Dance, Geekapella (Geeky ACapella), kids events and more!” Herringer said.

At the virtual event, there will be panels on creating comics and indie comics with Martin Pierro of Cosmic Times, writing, cosplay makeup/tips and tricks from Countess Alyx Cosplay, Maide Cafe by the Idols Al A Carte, virtual SMASH BROS ULTIMATE tournament with Duo Studios, and special fx demos and events by Jeh Howell of Factory of Effects. Additionally, live art events hosted by cartoonist and artist Nathan Archer will be held, and a virtual cosplay competition with judges Fred and Elle Designs will take place. Attendees “can watch online throughout the weekend  and also join in on comments and add to the events in real time.”

Tickets to the event cost $9 per day or $13 for both days, and $1 from each ticket sale will be donated to the Hang Tough Foundation. North Florida Spine and Wellness will match that $1 donation for each ticket sale. Tickets can be purchased online, here.
