On Saturday, August 22, 2020, from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., the Leon County Public Library will be holding a food preservation class via Zoom. In partnership with the UF/IFAS office here in Tallahassee, the class will focus on food preparation techniques such as canning, freezing, and dehydrating for fruits and vegetables.
Led by Heidi Copeland and Samantha Kennedy of the UF/IFAS office, an informative talk and a demonstration of these technique will be given during the hour-long Zoom class. Ultimately, the class will serve as a way to present “the ins and outs of keeping a little bit of the taste of summer handy for the coming months.”
