TALLAHASSEE, Fla — Angel Hall has always loved houseplants. Last year, she went on the search for a plant subscription service so she could receive a new plant every month. When she couldn’t find what she was looking for, the idea for Tally Plant Club, a local plant subscription service and online plant store, was born.
Hall was born and raised in Tallahassee. She has worked in the hospitality industry here for about 10 years, and she has a real estate license and specializes in investment properties and new construction. Hall said her favorite part of running Tally Plant Club is connecting with other local “plant people.”
“I’ve made so many friendships and connections so far; they’re truly invaluable,” she said. “I love helping people with plant tips and seeing things grow and expand. It’s my place to explore my creativity and see what happens.”
Hall said she enjoys making handmade pots and propagation stands. Tally Plant Club also offers plantscape services like plant styling and container design.
“I started container designing by making succulent arrangements and hanging baskets with a variety of plants,” Hall said. “This is also one of my favorite parts because I get to plan, design and execute every aspect myself so my vision can truly come to life.”
Tally Plant Club also offers ongoing plant care options for businesses. She said she loves ensuring that plants continue to thrive in their new homes.
In the future, Hall said she wants to connect with other local businesses and host events like build-your-own succulent arrangements and pop-up plant sales.
“I eventually want to offer frequent pop-up shops to get offline and more personal (weird times right now, ya know) as well as host community events,” she said. “We already have some partnerships in the works with some amazing brands, and I can’t wait to see where all of this takes us. I hope to leave a lasting impression on Tallahassee and spread the love and knowledge of plants. They truly make people happy.”
